Luke Breen showed his familiar yellow home built again because it now has a set of custom made “foldable” (or removeable, actually) pedals. He started with a set of MKS pedals that remove using a quick release coupling similar to what industrial air hoses use, plus a set of Shimano SPD pedals. Then he had Chris Burbank cut a set of new axles from 4140 chromolly that match the quick release on one end and the SPD bearing race locations and sizes on the other end.

They appear to have a rather large Q factor, but Luke says he specifically picked a SPD model that had more room between the crank and pedal body to begin with, so Q wasn't changed much if at all.
