Brompton Folder With Recumbent Conversion
Mary Arneson showed her latest toy from the Spezi show in Germany, an annual exposition of “special” bikes including recumbents, folders, velomobiles, work bikes, etc. that she has attended the last two years. This time she made a cheap trip on frequent flyer miles and easily compensated for that by getting an English Brompton folding bike with the German Julianne Neuss recumbent conversion kit (costing about 2,000 Euros).
After getting us into a drooling and lusting frame of mind Mary announced that Julianne is probably going to discontinue the conversion business. Mary's may be one of the last three ever to be built.
(As I understand it, Brompton has made some changes to strengthen their frames . They are not all that noticeable, but prevent the current recumbent conversion from being installed. Mark)
