Before contacting me about cranks:
Unless you know exactly what you need, please read this file.

When emailing me about cranks, please include "crank", "cranks" or
"crankset" in your subject line.

When emailing about Cotter Presses or Cotters please include "cotter" somewhere in your subject line.

When emailing about the Fixed Cup Tool please include "Fixed Cup" in your subject line.

Email is not 100% reliable.
Not even 99%
I will respond to any email within 2 days, even if it's just "Confirming that I got your email, but I'm too busy right now to respond fully."
If you request a PayPal invoice you should get one within 24 hours.
If you don't hear back within that timeframe, either I didn't get your email, you didn't get my response or invoice or maybe I just got so busy I forgot.
In any case, please try again. And if you still don't get a response, please phone me at 612-824-2372.
Ordering I don't have an eCommerce site, so just contact me at me at mark@bikesmithdesign.com or (612) 824 - 2372 and let me know what you need.
Do not send money, without contacting me 1st to check on current price and availability.
(Except cotter presses and fixed cup tools. I always have those on hand at the price on the web page.)
Payment I have a PayPal.com account, where all you need is my email address, mark@bikesmithdesign.com and your credit card number.

If you need help, go to https://www.paypal.com click on HELP (at top of page) and select "How do I send Money"

If you pay by PayPal, please send me a separate email letting me know you have done so.  Not all of their "You've got Money" notices get through Earthlink's overzealous spam filter. Also, please verify that the address you have on file with PayPal is current.  (I have had some problems with this lately)

Or: Personal checks or Money Orders made out to "Bikesmith Design".  (Postal money orders should be made out to "Mark Stonich") and sent to the address above

Credit Card:  If you want to pay by credit card, ask me to send you a PayPal invoice.  When you open the invoice, click on [Pay Invoice] and
you will be offered the option to pay by PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover

$20 Surcharge on non-USA checks or money orders.
This is what my bank charges me to process these, so I have to pass it on to my customers. I recommend PayPal or credit card.

Shipping
&
Handling
Shipping costs (especially International) went up due to the January 2012 postal rate increase.
Others went down due to the introduction of Regional Flat Rate Boxes.
S&H in the US
Crank Arms or Cranksets; See Rate Chart Below
Cotter Press, Fixed Cup Tool or Both $7
S&H to Most Foreigh Countries
Crank Arms or Complete Cranksets: Varies By Weight - Contact me for exact amount.
Cotter Press, Fixed Cup Tool or Both $28 USD ($24 to Canada)
I ship using US Postal Service Priority Mail. 2-3 day delivery in the Continental US. (95% in 2 days)
Or, US Postal Service First Class Mail International. 4-10 business day delivery to most countries. (But in some countries, notably UK and Canada, items occasionally languish in customs for weeks.)

US Postal Service has been fantastic for us. No complaints in 9+ years and about 2,500 shipments. (The one "Lost" item turned up in the recipient's mailroom.) On the Framebuilders & Classic Bike lists I often see complaints about FedEx and UPS. Never about the U.S. Post Office.

USPS Small Flat Rate Boxes  $7 S&H to anywhere in the USA - $24 to Canada - $28 to everywhere else.
This is an economical way to ship small items, especially heavy ones like cotter presses.
Dimensions 8-5/8" x 5-3/8" x 1-5/8"  (219mm x 136mm x 41mm)   ::  4 lb (1.814 kg.) weight limit for foreign shipments.

2 piece cranks don't fit in USPS Regional Rate Boxes.  They ship Priority mail by weight.  The chart below is based on a weight not exceeding 3 Lbs.
If any adapters or tools are shipped with the cranks, S&H may be higher.
